The ticker pauses if the official feed stops updating for ninety seconds and the verification chain breaks. The desk publishes a strike-through and a written correction in the next edition when a number prints wrong.
Three-second cadence is the house rule — ball-by-ball for cricket, event-driven for football and kabaddi (goal / tackle / raid point), per-point for tennis. Hard breaks after ninety seconds. Corrections are not silent edits.
